A modern monastery for Christian learning, sacred inquiry, and theological formation.
Nebra Sky Monastery and Institute unites a research-oriented Christian monastery, a sacred library and publishing mission, and an online divinity college offering faith-based religious degrees for students, ministers, Christian writers, and Biblical scholars.
Recovering the ancient unity of faith, knowledge, scholarship, and service.
Nebra Sky stands in the older monastic tradition in which religious communities preserved sacred texts, cultivated learned commentary, sponsored Christian scholarship, and served as custodians of books, art, medicine, astronomy, philosophy, and the applied sciences.
The Monastery is the soul of the venture: a Christian research center, modern scriptorium, and learned spiritual house dedicated to sacred texts, Biblical history, Christian artifacts, religious art, and publishable works of faith-informed scholarship.
The Institute provides online religious education in theology, ministry, Biblical history, archaeology, Christian artifacts, sacred texts, and responsible use of emerging technologies as instruments for research and Christian communication.
For graduates called toward ministry, the Master of Divinity pathway is designed to prepare students for theological leadership, pastoral care, house churches, ceremonies, and ordination into the Nebra Sky Order of the Nebra Sky Monastery.
Education for students, ministers, scholars, and writers.
The Institute offers three online religious degree pathways connected to the Monastery’s central mission: Christian education, ministry preparation, and substantial scholarly work worthy of preservation in The Library.
